What do you use a Maxima tray sealer for?
A tray sealer, also known as a tray sealing machine, is ideal for the leak-free packaging of fresh food products in preformed trays and containers. Our tabletop tray sealers are the ideal solution for catering companies, restaurants, butchers and supermarkets. Maxima tray sealers are perfect for packaging small numbers of preformed trays. Thanks to the airtight packaging, take away meals arrive at their destination without spillage, prepared dishes stay nice and fresh in the refrigerator and your shelves look neat and attractive.
How does a tray sealer work?
To use one of the Maxima tray sealers, you need matching moulds, heat-resistant sealing film and plastic trays or containers in addition to the device itself. Operating the tray sealing machine is very simple. Depending on the shape of the tray, you place the corresponding mould on the device. Turn the switch of the tray sealer to ON and set the desired temperature. As soon as it has warmed up, place the filled dish or tray in the mould, pull the foil over it and press the lid of the tray sealer down. After a maximum of five seconds, the sealing process is complete and you can open the lid and remove the tray. Each compartment of the dish or tray is now completely leak-proof.
By using a heating plate, the sealing film is only sealed at the rims of the trays. Thanks to the special closing mechanism you can obtain a high closing pressure with light compression. This makes the tray sealer quick and easy to operate.
For what kind of food can you use a tray sealer?
A tray sealer is the ideal device for sealing different types of food without leakage:
- Complete meals
- Raw and cooked meat
- Fish and other seafood products
- Dairy products
- Fruit and vegetables
- Rice and pasta products
What should you pay attention to when buying a Maxima tray sealer?
If you are planning to buy a tray sealer, there are certain things you should pay attention to. Because Maxima tray sealers are available in different sizes, the size of the trays and containers that you will be using should be considered. Not every size tray fits in every machine. In addition, you need to place a tray sealer on a flat and stable surface that is not too close to a heat source such as a cooker, oven or radiator. For easy access to the machine, optimal ventilation and thorough cleaning, you need a minimum of 10 cm around the tray sealer. Determine in advance which type of trays will be used and choose the right moulds. The moulds can be changed, making it possible to seal various types of trays.
How do you maintain and clean your professional tray sealers?
Maxima tray sealers are equipped with non-rusting materials, which make the machines very easy to maintain. The heated sealing plate is easy to clean thanks to a non-stick coating. However, it is important to regularly clean the machine, cables, hoses and accessories. Before you start cleaning the tray sealer, always make sure it is switched off and that the plug is pulled out.
Clean the outside of the device with a damp cloth. If the moulds ready for cleaning, remove them from the tray sealer and remove any food residue with a brush, warm water and some soap. It is important never to use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents when cleaning as this may damage the machine or leave harmful residues behind. After each clean, use a soft cloth to dry all parts of the machine thoroughly.
