What is a cooking kettle?
A cooking kettle is indispensable for the large cooking work. This multifunctional appliance can be found in large professional kitchens where a large capacity is required. Think of large quantities of liquid dishes such as soups, sauces, creams and stocks. But also stews, vegetables, rice and potatoes are typical foods that can be made in large quantities. Because you can cook, blanch, poach and stew with it, you can safely call this device a multifunctional kitchen helper! The boilers have their own tap to fill the boiler with water. Thanks to the large tap, you can easily drain food to the amount you need. A safety thermostat in the jacket protects against a low water level. So you don't have to worry about your dishes burning quickly. Maxima's cooking kettles have extra insulating material so that heat loss and energy consumption are minimal. They are all made of stainless steel, making them robust devices that you can easily clean.
What different cooking kettles are there?
Maxima Kitchen Equipment has various cooking kettles in its range. We explain the main differences to you below:
Direct Heating Boilers / Single Wall Boilers
The direct heating boiling kettles are also called single-wall boiling kettles. These have a single wall with the heat source located directly below the boiler. This makes them perfect for cooking dishes in water. Think of vegetables, potatoes, rice, sausage or meat.
Boiling kettles with indirect heating / double-walled boiling kettles
The indirect heating boilers are the better choice if you mainly want to make liquid dishes such as soups, creams, sauces and stocks. These dishes can burn more easily. The double wall of these cooking kettles is filled with water, steam or oil and these provide heating that can be compared to a 'bain-marie'. Because the boiler is not heated directly at the bottom, but evenly over the entire wall, the risk of burning is much less present.
Another important difference lies in the energy supply. You have the choice between an electric cooking kettle and a gas-fired cooking kettle . The electric cooking kettles always work on 400 volts and for the gas cooking kettles you should of course take into account that you have a gas connection available in your kitchen.
In addition, Maxima Kitchen Equipment also has handy tilting cooking kettles in different sizes. You can tilt the kettle so that you can easily reach it when you want to stir, add ingredients, and of course pour over the contents very easily. Thanks to the smooth turning mechanism and the wide pouring spout, you can do this without spilling. The tilting makes cleaning the kettle even easier!
